Emulsifiers

BTMS-25
(behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol). BTMS-25 is known as a mild vegetable based moisturizing and conditioning emulsifier. It does not contain ethoxylated ingredients. Products made with BTMS tend to resist wash off, leaving a soft, powder feel on the skin and imparting excellent detangling properties to hair conditions. In conditioners, it offers improved wet comb and leaves hair moisturized with noticeable body and spring. Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt derived from the natural plant oil Colza, or what is commonly known as Rapeseed Oil.

BTMS-50
(Behentrimonium Methosulfate) BTMS-50 is a mild vegetable based conditioning and moisturizing emulsifier. It does not contain ethoxylated ingredients. It can be used to emulsify lotions and scrubs but is more commonly used to make hair conditioners because it conditions and moisturizes. It leaves hair tangle-free and feeling silky smooth. It provides skin with a softer, powdery feel when it is used in skin care products such as lotions and creams. This product does not contain hazardous solvents. Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt derived from the natural plant oil Colza, or what is commonly known as Rapeseed Oil.

Emulsifying Wax NF
Emulsifying wax NF is a nonionic self-emulsifying wax created to meet the standard for self emulsifying waxes monographed in the National Formulary. It is used to make thick or thin emulsions. It is mild, and provides excellent stability.

Polysorbate 20
This “oil” is derived from lauric acid which is a combination of coconut oil and Laurel tree extracts. Polysorbate 20 is a commonly used emulsifier that stabilizes essential oils in water.

Sorbitan Oleate
An emulsifier derived from sugar.
