Healthy Homemade Ketchup, In Minutes!

Warm weather weekends are all about grilling burgers, hot dog, brats and the like. Ketchup, the king of all condiments, will be on every table.

Commercial ketchup contains high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that has no real nutritional value and causes a big spike in blood sugar when consumed. HFCS is used to extend the shelf life of processed food and is cheaper than sugar.

Remember, continually consuming too many foods that spike your blood sugar, can lead to all sorts of health problems. So, here is an easy and quick recipe to replace that store bought stuff and tame your blood sugar level.

Healthy Homemade Ketchup – In Minutes

Ingredients:
 1 cup organic tomato paste
 1 tbsp honey, (preferrably local)
1 tbsp raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (Bragg)
 1/4 tsp mustard
 1/2 tsp sea salt
 1/4 cup water
