What's the Most Effective and Natural Way to Cleanse Your Facial Skin?

OIL, and it works for all skin types!

If you want clear, glowing, dewy-looking skin, free of pimples, blackheads, cysts and other imperfections than you need to start cleansing with an oil cleanser.

Oil cleansing is the process of using oil (instead of chemically saturated soaps or cleansers) to dissolve and remove dirt on the skin. Cleansing oils are based on the premise that like dissolves like. In short, vegetable based oils filled with antioxidants, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory properties will dissolve the sometimes pore-clogging oil produced by your face.

Don’t be afraid of applying oil to your face. Oil will not cause blemishes. Blemishes (pimples, cysts, blackheads, and whiteheads) are a result of several different factors including hormones, bacteria, dead skin cell buildup, and most importantly – improper eating habits. Your skin naturally produces oil in order to lubricate, heal, protect, and moisturize your skin so that it functions properly. Properly functioning skin is clear and glowing.

Cleansing with an oil cleanser is easy; you’ll need the oil blend best suited for your skin type, a soft washcloth, and very warm to hot running water.

  • Place a very warm to almost hot damp cloth on your face for 10-20 seconds. Remove the cloth.
  • Pour a generous amount of the oil into the palm of your hand (the size of a quarter, but more doesn’t hurt). Rub your hands together to warm the oil and smooth over your face.
  • Massage the oil into the skin for 10-20 seconds (eyes and lips included). This will remove the dirt and makeup and other impurities. Cleansing oil is the most effective and natural way to remove there-to-stay makeup products including waterproof mascara and lip stains.
  • Using the same cloth, gently wipe the oil away. Wash the cloth with soapy water and gently wipe the face one more time.

Oil cleansers work on all skin types – even acne prone skin. People with acne-prone or oily skin tend to over cleanse and dry out their skin, which can cause the skin to overcompensate for the dryness by producing more oil. Oil cleansing will clean and moisturize the skin without causing irritation, which can be a side effect of harsh cleansers that have drying ingredients.
