Hair Mask: How To Use It & Why You Need It

As the seasons change, so do the needs of your hair. Now’s the time to upgrade your hair-care routine.

Cold weather generally has the same effect on your hair as it does your skin. The colder air draws out moisture, often leading to increased dryness and irritation, which then usually ends in breakage and damage.

The most important part of a winter hair care routine = moisture. Everyone needs moisture in their hair, and if you’ve got natural curls or coarse hair, moisturizing your strands is especially important.

The good news is you can work to replenish your hair’s lost moisture levels by giving your hair some extra love with our Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

A hair mask is a deeply hydrating hair moisturizer made with some of the richest ingredients in nature delivering a concentrated dose of powerfully hydration deep into your scalp. This ensures that they fully soak in, beneficial for those dealing with dry flaky scalp, psoriasis and eczema). Unlike hair conditioners, a deep conditioning hair mask is used once a week.

Get ready to turn those straw-like strands to silk because this nourishing formula adds moisture and makes your hair stronger, shinier, and healthier without weighing it down.

Hair Conditioner or Hair Mask: What’s The Difference?

After shampooing it’s important to further care for hair with a conditioner or mask:

Hair Conditioners are used every time you wash your hair with shampoo. These two are the perfect couple, the must-haves of every shower!

Hair Masks on the other hand are not meant for daily use. Thanks to their rich texture and the active ingredients that penetrate deep, hair masks perform a more intensive action than conditioner. For maximum results they need to be used on a regular basis (such as once a week).

How To Use A Hair Mask

  • Wash your hair and rinse it well.
  • Towel dry your hair to remove excess water.
  • Apply the hair mask  on the lengths and ends of your hair, distributing it evenly.
  • Leave it on for at least 10 minutes.
  • Rinse well!
  • Dry your hair gently, first by patting with a towel and then using a hair dryer at a moderate temperature. Or when you can, let your hair air dry.

Healthy hair has the perfect amount of moisture and hydration, so you might need to experiment with how often you use the hair mask.  A weekly application is recommended; however you may need to use it more often.
