Is Neem Oil Safe For Babies & Pregnant Women
Can Neem Cream be used on my baby? I have eczema and I’m pregnant, is it safe to use Neem Cream and ProCURE Psoriasis & Eczema Repair Balm? These questions keep popping up in our email, repeatedly.
The answer is YES! Neem Cream and ProCURE Psoriasis & Eczema Relief Balm are both non-toxic and safe to use on babies who are 3 months old and up, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding moms.
What The Studies and Research Mean:
When studies are done on the safety of natural plant oils, the research is usually referring to the internal use using massive amounts of the pure concentrated plant oil. Studies that state “avoid use of neem oil” or “neem oil treatment” are not referring to a formulation or a dilution using the oil. The studies are referring to Neem Oil in its unconcentrated pure form. The “poisonous in large doses” refers to ingesting concentrated Neem Oil internally in large doses, every day, over and extended period.
The external use of diluted neem oil is safe and effective at treating so many skin disorders especially on baby’s delicate skin.
Benefits of Neem Cream and ProCURE Repair Balm:
- Ideal for baby diaper area, especially ProCure Relief Balm. ProCURE is made with beeswax that provides a natural soothing and protective barrier.
- Both are made with pure unrefined neem oil renowned for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
- Both are highly effective at healing and restoring dry or irritated skin, especially baby’s with eczema.
- ProCURE is made to use on skin that is broken, cracked or extremely damaged and dry. Neem Cream is equally effective at keeping skin hydrated and moisturized, however if the skin is broken or has open wounds neem cream will sting or burn when applied because it is a water-based moisturizer. We highly recommend using ProCURE first to allow the skin to heal. Once it has healed, you can switch to Neem Cream as a daily moisturizer to maintain healthy skin.
Neem oil is one of the most powerful and effective plant oils to treat and manage a variety of skin disorders. Hopefully after reading this article, you will feel more confident in your decision to use our neem products.
