How To Use A Shampoo Bar

  1. Wet hair with water thoroughly before you begin. Be sure your hair is saturated from scalp to ends of hair.
  2. Wet the shampoo bar with water and rub it between your hands to activate a creamy lather.
  3. There are two techniques when washing your hair with a shampoo bar. You are washing your hair with the SOAP LATHER.
    1. Take the lather that you have created in your hands and apply that lather to your scalp and hair. If you want more lather, pick up the bar and rub it between your hands again.  We recommend using this technique if you are new to using a shampoo bar.
    2. You can rub the wet lathered bar directly, but briefly, on top of your scalp and hair ends in a gentle circular motion. Put the bar aside and gently massage scalp and hair, adding more water as necessary until enough lather forms.
Do not “over rub” the hair with the bar of soap. Doing so will leave soap on your hair and increase the likelihood of leaving hair with a “gummy waxy” feeling. This is very important for long or thick hair.  Work the “SOAP LATHER” into your hair by adding more water and making sure to build up a good thick later.  You don’t want soap left on your hair.
  4. Rinse hair thoroughly ensuring that all the soap is removed from your scalp and hair. We cannot stress how important this step is when using a shampoo bar.  Rinsing should take as long as washing your hair. Repeat if desired.
  5. Follow with your favorite hair conditioner. After drying you will have hair that is soft and luminous.

Love this soap

I have tried so many treatments for my scalp condition, then someone suggested use goat milk soap and i found this and bought it. I have used a whole bar and my condition is getting much better and my scalp isn't as itchy, i highly recommend this natural soap.

Wow!!!

I was having an issue with eczema on my stomach. Nothing seemed to help it, not even steroid cream! I used this on it and I finally have some relief from the itching and scratching. Also, after using this twice the redness has also faded! All I can say is your products are wonderful!

Thank you for your feedback Dana. We are so happy that you have had success with our Neem Products especially the shampoo bar. One of our favorites!

Rich lather, great for dry scalp/skin

I have been using this shampoo bar for about 3 years now. Love how it makes my hair feel and no plastic bottles to throw away. These are the only shampoos I use now.

Thank you for the feedback Pat!

My hair felt greasy the next day

Thank you for the feedback. That isn't uncommon when you switch over to a shampoo bar. However, that feeling (gummy/waxy) in your hair is from the soap residue that wasn't completely washed out of your hair.

There is a transition period when switching over to a shampoo bar. That transition period is more like a 'learning' how to use a shampoo bar period and it's different for everyone, especially those with thick hair, curly hair or people who rush through the hair washing period without thoroughly wetting the hair and rinsing out the soap.

If you fall into the category of people who have this feeling after using it the first time, your first reaction is 'it didn't work' and you might want to quit. I encourage you to continue. Read over the SHAMPOO BARS: TIPS & TECHNIQUES page in the 'HELP MY CHOOSE' section. It might take several washings to adjust, but trust me, you won't regret it.

The neem shampoo and body bar is the one of our best sellers and we have had several clients reach out to us just like you. So please, keep trying it and get back to us after a few washings.
