WHAT DOES FRAGRANCE FREE MEAN?
Fragrance-free products cannot contain any ingredients that have been added to impart a smell but “may” contain ingredients that have a scent but are not added because of their scent. This is most often true with natural skin care products. For example, aloe vera is a common ingredient used in natural skin care products that has its own unique aroma. This scent comes naturally from the plant, so products that contain aloe vera can be “fragrance free” and still have a noticeable scent, depending on the percentage used in the formulation.
